How to have a cosy night in with your dog

What better way to spend a cold, dark evening than having a cosy night in with your pup. We have put together some of our favourite ideas to have the ultimate night in including drinks, snacks and activities!

1) Dog yoga

To start your evening, why not chill out and unwind with some dog yoga? There are lots of guides online and videos to follow along on YouTube. Just search ‘Doga’!

2) Play a game

If you’re feeling energised and would prefer to play games with your dog, we have this great article that includes some fun indoor games you can play with your dog! It is a great way to bond with your dog whilst also giving them mental stimulation.

3) Make some drinks

4) Buy or make some treats!

Depending on how much time you have, you may want to bake a fun doggy treat. We have lots of simple recipaws here. We think the Apple Oatmeal Biscuits would be perfect for a seasonal snack.

5) Staycation

How about elevating your night in by taking your cosy evening away from home? Whether you are borrowing a dog for a weekend or fancy taking a trip with your own dog, there are lots of dog-friendly cottages across the country to visit. Find one with a log fire to snooze in front of, turn off your phone and enjoy the company of your four-legged friend.

6) Matching accessories

Get cute Instagram pictures in matching jumpers or show your friendship with a collar for them and a bracelet for you. There are lots of options to choose from and would also make the perfect Christmas present!

7) Get snug and enjoy

Now all you need to do is grab your favourite blanket, your dogs favourite blanket or dog bed and make a nest for you both on the sofa. Fill your coffee table with your snacks, dog treats and your hot drinks. Give them a quiet toy to entertain them for a while and stick on your favourite dog-friendly film. How about 101 Dalmations, Hotel for Dogs or Lady and the Tramp?

What are your favourite things to do on a night in with your pup? Let us know! We’d love to see you and your dog doing some of these ideas so make sure to share your pictures with us over on our social media.
