Pumpkin and Peanut Butter Pup Cake

Is it your favourite furry friend’s birthday soon? Perhaps your dog deserves a treat, or you simply just fancy trying your paws at doggy baking? This Pumpkin and Peanut Butter Pup Cake is guaranteed to get all the tails wagging.

INGREDIENTS

For the cake

  • 120g of whole wheat/grain flour
  • 1 egg
  • 70ml vegetable oil
  • 85g pup-friendly peanut butter
  • 150g pumpkin puree
  • 120ml water

For the icing

  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese
  • 150g pumpkin puree
  • *Optional* Treats for decoration

DIRECTIONS

1. Pre-heat the oven to 180℃ (160℃ for fan-assisted ovens)

2. In a bowl mix all of the cake ingredients together.

3. Once combined spoon mixture into a greased cake tin.

4. Bake at 180° C for 15-20 minutes or until a skewer popped into the middle of the cake comes out clean.

5. While the cake is baking mix the icing ingredients together.

6. And once the cake is baked and cooled decorate as desired.

7. Serve and enjoy!
