Why did you join BorrowMyDoggy?

To borrow a dog initially. Now it is both to borrow dogs for playtime with my dog and also so Cookie has a wide range of friends, especially families as she loves children but we don't have any for her to play with.

How has your BorrowMyDoggy experience changed your life?

Cookie is a kooikerhondje. We researched the breed and some people told us that they can be shy and standoffish breed. We wanted to ensure Cookie wasn't shy. She does need her space but has grown up loving the company of other dogs and people and is good with children which I in part think is due to being on BorrowMyDoggy.

How have you (and/or your dog) benefited from being a BorrowMyDoggy member?

We met loads more people locally who also loved dogs as well which is nice. Cookie has met lots of people and dogs through the site especially families, thus getting her used to children (with sensible parents supervising of course) great for her because she has a little fan club/ extended family now.

What's been the biggest surprise for you in being part of our community?

Great for me knowing she was safe and happy while I had to go to work.

Let us know if you have anything else you'd like to share about your experience

Having been a borrower first helped cause I gained experience of how the site worked. Great idea keep up the good work.

I previously had a Labrador as teenager and I was heartbroken when he passed away. I felt unable to get another dog as he was the family’s everything.

After Teddy has been out for the day he comes back happy and he is more content 😌 and tired for a couple of days.

The first dog I 'liked' was a six-year-old Norfolk Terrier called Red. His owner Stephen got in touch to suggest a coffee.
