Why did you join BorrowMyDoggy?
Because I missed the companionship of animals and wanted my son to experience the joy of looking after and cuddling a dog, but my rental won’t allow pets.
How has your BorrowMyDoggy experience changed your life?
I messaged an owner who it turned out lived in the next block over from me, I started walking her dog about 5 years ago and never stopped! My son and I love Mollie so much! I look after her one or two days a week and the odd weekend day whenever is needed, or whenever I ask for. We both get exercise and she is SO friendly to everyone it’s a joy to look after her, without the responsibility of ownership! Her favourite is fetch with tennis balls, we have a permanent collection of sticks, and she will do anything for a treat. She’s such a lovely dog, it’s been so nice watching my son create a bond with her.
How have you benefited from being a BorrowMyDoggy member?
I was a member for about a year I think? It has benefitted me immensely as I wouldn’t have had this opportunity without it!
What's been the biggest surprise for you in being part of our community?
How many dogs there are local to me on the site!
