High Paws to Ireland!

We’ve received lots of lovely emails asking BorrowMyDoggy to launch in Ireland over the last few months. Based on this, and our aim to leave “Pawprints of Happiness” on as many lives as possible, we are now live in Ireland… high paws!

As part of the launch, BorrowMyDoggy was featured in an article for the Irish Examiner, in which dog lover and journalist Katy Harrington, originally from Ireland, was matched with Elvis for a day; a terrier mix who is “absolutely the coolest, funniest dog you’ll ever know”. The pair formed a special bond almost immediately and helped Katy to fill, as she put it, ‘the dog-shaped hole in her life.’ Katy said that the minute she was left alone with Elvis, she remembered exactly why dogs are a mans best friend :)

During an interview that Katy did with Elvis’ Owner, Benj, she wrote “The first time he left Elvis was “a little daunting” but Benj has found BorrowMyDoggy a much better alternative to kennels. “You don’t know how much attention the dog is getting, but in my case the dog was getting spoiled more than i would do. There’s a neighbourly feeling to the whole thing…It’s building a dog-loving community.” You can read Katy’s article on BorrowMyDoggy at The Irish Examiner.

Yesterday Katy was interviewed by RTE 2fm. The programme recognised the growing interest in Ireland for the service that BorrowMyDoggy provides, as well as the positive effects that we have on our users; the borrowers, owners and most importantly our four legged furry friends!

Woofs and tail-wags to Katy and RTE 2fm for helping us leave #pawprintsofhappiness in Ireland.
