Practicing Mindfulness with a dog
Have you heard of mindfulness? It’s the basic human ability to be fully present, to be aware of where we are, and what we are doing, and not overly reactive or being overwhelmed by what’s going on around us.
In the current day and age, with social media and outside stresses affecting our day to day lives, it can often be difficult to remain cool, calm and collected, and we can easily become worried or flustered on a number of different things. However, by taking a few minutes each day to practice mindfulness can help you tune into how you feel and to aid you into feeling more relaxed and focused.
This Mental Health Awareness Week our pawsome pals at Nuffield Health, the UK’s largest healthcare charity, have created the most pawfect mindfulness session... With a dog! As our community is all about sharing the love of dogs we thought we would share this session with you. Whether you own or borrow a dog you can sit down with your pooch and take part. You can view the session here.
We hope you enjoy the session and it leaves you feeling calm and relaxed.
