Dog Walking in Dunfermline
Whether you’re local or are new to the area there are plenty of great dog walks in Dunfermline. Here are just some of our favourites…
Pittencrieff Park
There are plenty of different routes to take as well as some lovely coastal paths to enjoy. If you’re a dog walker in Dunfermline looking for a walk with beautiful scenery and a diverse selection of terrain then this is the walk for you. From ponds and victorian flower gardens, monastery ruins, plenty of picnic areas and a cafeteria there is something for everyone.
Townhill Country Park
With lots to take in this is a great place to explore with your four legged friend. There are plenty of open spaces perfect for a game or two of fetch as well as a children’s play area for little ones to enjoy. Public Park
Another great place to walk someone’s dog in Dunfermline is Public Park. Popular with dog walkers, families and joggers all year round due to the beautiful views and varied walking routes. There is plenty of open space for a game of frisbee or a picnic and there is also a lovely bandstand and fountain to visit.

The Ship Inn
If all that walking has given you an appetite why not check out The Ship Inn for a spot of lunch. They have a yummy food menu for two legged friends and furry friends are welcome to join you in the bar or snug area and will be provided with water bowls and ear ruffles.
The Hillend Tavern
With friendly staff and a fun quiz each month this is a great place to stop off for food. Dogs are more than welcome to join you inside or out but be prepared for them to receive lots of attention from staff and locals. The beer selection comes highly recommended, there is a lovely cosy fire to enjoy in winter as well as a quaint beer garden, all in all a pawsome place to stop for lunch.
The Glen Tavern
Pups are welcome to dine with you inside or out here and there is a varied food menu to choose from for two legged friends. There is a lovely beer garden to enjoy in warmer months which often hosts BBQ’s or why not grab a roast dinner if the weather is cooler. Dogs will also be provided with water bowls and maybe even a treat if they’re pawticularly well behaved.
