If all that dog walking in Preston has got your in the mood for food, why not stop off at one of these fab pooch friendly places for a bite to eat.

Nabs Head

With lots of pawsome trails only a tail wag away this is a great place to stop after before or after a dog walk. The food here comes well recommended and your pup is welcome to dine with you both inside or out. Soak up the sunshine in their lovely beer garden or curl up beside the log fire in winter - water bowls are provided for thirsty pups.

The Continental

With lovely views over the river Ribble and nearby Avenham Park perfect for an afternoon walk. Pooch friendly and with a large outdoor area to enjoy on warmer days, this is a great place to stop for lunch. Pups will be provided with water bowls and two legged friends can pick from a delicious menu.

The Dog Inn

A short drive out of Preston but still worth a mention due to the pawsome name and welcoming of all pups, is the Dog Inn. Newly refurbished, with three lovely roaring fires in winter and a terrace to enjoy in warmer months, this is easily somewhere you could spend a few hours after a nice long dog walk. They also have self catering accommodation available if you’d like to extend your stay.

The Wheatsheaf

With a lovely garden that acts as sun trap and a beautiful interior, this pub is a real treat. Pups are welcome inside and out and will be offered water as well as ear ruffles from the friendly staff. Popular with both locals and visitors, serving up delicious pub grub this is a great place to spend an afternoon with friends (both two legged and four legged).
