There are dog friendly places in Devon and then there’s The Cary Arms. With dog bowls and comfy dog beds for pups, this place loves their four legged visitors. There’s a lovely seasonal menu for two legged friends as well as offering pup friendly rooms for those wanting to extend their trip. Relax on the patio outside with a nice drink, before exploring Babbacombe Bay - the dog friendly beach nearby.
The Victoria Inn, Salcombe
If you’re looking for a lovely country pub to enjoy with your pup then this is a great place to visit. Offering a cosy log fire for pups to curl up in front of as well as a locally sourced menu it would be easy to spend an entire afternoon here. They also have a whole host of games behind the bar if you’re in need of a spot of entertainment.
The George and Dragon, Dartmouth
Home to the only beer garden in Dartmouth, soak up some sunshine and try one of their famed cakes with a nice cup of coffee. If you’re nearby on a Sunday, this is also a great place to enjoy a roast dinner, pups will be provided with water bowls and biscuits too which is pretty pawsome!
The Travellers Rest, Whitestone
This pub has it’s very own pooch in residence called Guinness. Both two legged and four legged visitors are catered for and will be offered a warm welcome. Relax in the beer garden and take in the sights while you try and decide what to pick for lunch. Whitestone village is also a great place for a dog walk, so you can explore until your heart’s content.
The Old Station House Inn, Kentisbury
Located right next to the Exmoor National Park - this is a great place to head for lunch after a nice dog walk. Enjoy a bite to eat alongside your four legged friend and take in the spectacular views that surround you. This pub even has its own shop where you can buy everything from homemade jam and chutney to gourmet dog food!
