Whether you’re a dog sitter in Blackpool or an owner wanting a new walk with your four-legged friend, Brock Bottom is a great choice. If your pup likes to swim there are plenty of places for your dog to take a dip in the river along the nature trail. There are a number of routes you can take varying in length. If it’s a nice day why not pack a picnic and make an afternoon of it?

Pendle Hill

With plenty of open spaces for your pooch to run off any extra energy, this is a great walk for pups needing to be put through their paces. This walk can be a short stroll or a 3-hour ramble depending on how adventurous you are feeling.  Enjoy the 360 views from the top and see if you can spot Blackpool Tower. With plenty of hills, you might need to stop for a drink which luckily for you isn’t a problem as there are cafes and dog-friendly pubs along the way.

Fleetwood Marsh Nature Reserve is a haven for wildlife and a pupular spot for dog owners. You can follow the hard-standing paths to explore, or if you’re feeling adventurous you can head off the beaten track into the open grassland. As well as wildlife spotting, you can spot some local public art and the shipwrecks on the river bank - pawfect for photo opportunities with your BFF!

The Nicky Nook walk is a 3-mile circular walk that takes you up the fell where you can take in beautiful panoramic views of the countryside - you can even spot Blackpool Tower in the distance on a clear day. It’s a great walk for budding explorers both human and canine! The walk begins near a cafe making it an ideal spot for a morning coffee before heading off on your adventure, or a slice of cake to reward yourself with at the end of the walk!
