Things to Do With Dogs This Weekend

High paws, you’ve found a dog to borrow! Now to plan your adventures. Or perhaps your weekend is looking pretty dull and you’re looking for a fun activity to do with your favourite doggy pal. Well look no further, we have 10 fun things you can do with your furry BFF this weekend, guarantee to banish those boring Sunday afternoons.

1) Sing with your dog.

Let’s start with an easy one. Sing to your dog and see if they sing with you (or howl).

2) Visit your closest National Trust or English Heritage park.

There are hundreds dotted across the UK, find your nearest one and take your four-legged friend with you.

3) Do some doggy baking.

Everyone loves a Sunday bake, and we have some pawsome recipaws that you can do with your favourite doggy. Take your pick here.

4) Do some doggy yoga, or Doga.

What better way to wind down the weekend with some yoga and why not get your doggy pal to join you. We hear Doga is all the rage.

5) Visit a relative.

Sharing the love of dogs with older people will be sure to make everyone’s day.

6) Teach your dog a new trick.

Looking for a new trick to teach your pup? Don’t worry we’ve got you covered. Why not teach them one of these tricks.

7) Watch TV together.

Feeling lazy? Have a lazy day and put on your favourite dog films. A fun activity? See how your dog reacts to dogs on the TV.

8) Grab lunch.

There are more doggy friendly pubs than you think. Not sure if your favourite pub is dog friendly? Why not ask? Who could say no to a cute well behaved dog. If not we have a few dog friendly locations here.

9) Take them dog shopping.

Everyone deserves a treat, even your favourite fur-ball, so why not take them to your closest pet shop and let them choose their favourite toy - you’ll both love it.

10) Take a doggy vacation.

Have a long free weekend? why not take a short weekend break and bring your best dog pal along too. There are lots of dog friendly hotels, cottages and B&Bs across the UK. Here are a few.
