Dog Walking in Halifax

Cromwell Bottom Nature Reserve
A mixture of woodlands, wetlands and grasslands, there is lots to explore here when walking your dog in Halifax. The meadows make for long games of fetch and frisbee, chasing some squirrels in the woods and cooling off in the rivers. With lots of off lead areas, you pup will thoroughly enjoy walking here.
Oakwell Hall and Country Park
Oakwell Hall and Country Park has something for everyone. It’s the perfect place for dog walks in Halifax with lots of hills if you are up for a challenge, or flat fields to just run around in and chase a ball, and forest area to cool off in out of the sun. There are refreshments available en route if you need to refuel and lots of water for a quick paddle.
Penistone Hill
Penistone Hill is great to walk a dog in Halifax off the lead. This country park is quite a hilly walk so if you want a tired pup this will do the trick. With 180 acres to explore, once you reach the top of the hill you will not be disappointed with the stunning views of Yorkshire.
