Durnovia Town Walk
A lovely walk taking you around Dorchester with the chance to take in the lovely attractions of Dorchester, such as Salisbury Fields and The Borough Gardens. This is a great walk where you can take your time enjoying the sights in the company of your four legged friend.
Broadway Tower Walk
Taking around two hours each way to complete the full walk, you will be rewarded by stunning views from the top on a clear day but this walk is great whatever the weather. Your pup isn’t allowed in the actual tower but is welcome to join you on the walk there and back, and if you’re lucky there may be an attendant that is happy to look after your dog while you climb the tower. Make sure to keep an eye out for sheep, deer and pheasants whilst on your walk!
Fordington Meadows
If you’re looking for somewhere peaceful to walk a dog in Dorchester then this is the walk for you. Steeped in peaceful countryside, Fordington Meadows will give you a nice break from the city and will allow your pup to really stretch his legs. This walk is around 2 miles long and there are plenty of great opportunities for those endless games of fetch.
Grove Hill
With a nice mixture of hilly inclines and flat terrain, this makes for a varied dog walk. You’re likely to see livestock and deer along your walk, so make sure you have your pups lead handy if their recall isn’t too pawsome. This is a perfect walk if you would like some peace and quiet as you are unlikely to see any other dog walkers en route. There are some lovely woodland trails to follow as well as plenty of open space if your pup likes to play frisbee or chase.
