The Red Kite
If you’re looking for a lovely beer garden as well as some traditional home cooked food head to the Red Kite. Treats and water are provided for four legged friends which are a perfect combination after a stroll along the Red Kite trail.
The Doggie Diner
In nearby Sunderland the Doggie Diner is a total dog’s dream. Serving up treats for both two legged and four legged friends, you’re almost guaranteed to find something you like, from muffins to pupcakes and doggie popcorn. There is also a dedicated pup creche where your dog can socialise, play on grass and pick from a range of fun toys.
The Bridge Tavern

When? Monday - Saturday 11am - midnight, Sunday noon - 10.30pm.
Why? Right next to the canal, you and your pooch can enjoy stunning views of the Tyne Bridge whilst tucking into some fantastic grub and real ales.
The Brandling Villa

When? Mon - Sun 12pm - 10pm
Why? This pub is famous for being super dog-friendly thanks to their two canine residents, Frank and Bird. In fact, they’re so dog-friendly, they have their very own menu for dogs!
The Red House

When? Sun - Thu 11am to midnight, Fri - Sat 11am
Why? If you and your pup love pies, then this place is absowoofly for you. Dogs are made very welcome here, and you will be too.
Barca

When? Monday - Saturday 11am - midnight, Sunday noon - 10.30pm.
Why? Situated right next to a dog walking park, this place is the perfect stop-off point after a long walk.
The Keel Row

When? Monday - Thursday 24 hours
Why? Open 24 hours, you and your pooch can enjoy time together in this family-run pub around the clock.
