Champion of the Thames

The Champion of the Thames, located in the heart of the city, is a great old-fashioned pub with wood-panelled walls and plenty of character. From real ale to modern craft beers, the drinks selection is top-notch. On top of that, the friendly staff will make you feel right at home - whether you have four legs or two! Dogs are especially welcome here; if you're a pup, you can expect free treats!

If you’re a dog sitter in Cambridge looking for a fun evening with your pup this is it! This good old fashioned pub plays host to a variety of events; including weekly pub quizzes, showings of University Challenge, and 6 Nations Rugby. Also don’t forget Cheese & Crackers night every Sunday! You and your pooch will be welcomed with a water bowl and a treat - and there’s often the resident dog Dora about to sniff hello too.

The Haymakers

Look no further than The Pub! With an outdoor area with shelter and heating, you'll stay warm in any weather. And because it's dog-friendly, your pup can come along too - they'll even get some doggy biscuits to enjoy! Plus, there's bike parking so you don't have to worry about leaving your ride behind. Table service is available with online ordering and payment - so no hassle! The staff are always friendly and helpful. When it comes to food and drink, the selection is simply unbeatable. Enjoy homemade pizza until 10pm or delicious local Milton beers on rotation.

The Clarendon Arms

If you’re out and about walking a dog in Cambridge, a charming pub to stop off for lunch in a relaxed atmosphere, is The Clarendon Arms. Which a great place to have a sunday roast with all the family (pups included!).

The Punter

Dogs will be treated to their own water bowl and baby chairs & changing places are available for little ones. Dogs are more than welcome at this cheerful pub, they even have a ‘Punter Pooches Watering Hole’ for them - equipped with water bowl and treats. Pawsome!

When it comes to food, you're guaranteed some delicious pub grub with plenty of space for big groups. Enjoy local ales on tap, but don’t expect too much choice in vegetarian dishes.

They take food extremely seriously at The Punter, with a delicious menu located only moments from the river.
