There are some great dog walks in Wirral, we’ve listed some of our favourites below to help get you started.
The Gunsite/Wirral Country Park
If your pup is a sociable sausage then this is great walk to choose as you’re bound to bump into other dog walkers and pups out and about. There are plenty of opportunities to let your dog off lead to stretch their legs. Feel free to take your pup for a walk along the beach but make sure to keep an eye on tide times. If you don’t feel like getting sandy paws, you can stroll along the coastal path instead and take in the lovely sea views.
New Brighton Beach
If you like to take a few photos when walking a dog in Wirral then head to New Brighton Beach. Let your pup run across the large stretches of sand while you take in the beautiful lighthouse and gorgeous sunset views. Make sure you stop along the way for a hard earned ice-cream after your walk.
Bidston Hill
With a mixture of terrain, from woodland walks to fields and open grassland there is plenty to get your pups tail wagging. You’re likely to bump into a few other dog walkers and pooches on your way which is perfect if your dog likes to socialise. There are some lovely views from the the top of the hill so be sure to pack your camera!
Harrison Park
With a great big open field perfect for those endless games of fetch this is an ideal place to stretch your pups legs. There are often lots of other people out and about walking their dogs, this walk is probably suited to a dog sitter in Wirral looking for a slightly shorter walk.
West Kirby Marine Lake
If you’re borrowing a dog in Wirral that enjoys swimming, then why not head to West Kirby Marine Lake. With beautiful views over the Welsh Hills as well as the chance to see boats sailing by and a high chance of seeing other pups, this is a lovely walk which normally takes around 25 mins to complete.
