If you’re looking for some fab dog walks in Northampton we’ve listed a few below to get you started.
Fineshade Wood
Dogs are welcome off the lead in the woods. With a mixture of trails and woodland this makes for a great adventure with your four legged friend. There is also a cafe which welcomes well behaved pups to dine with you. If you’d rather sit outside and soak up the rays (weather permitting) picnic benches are fitted with clasps to attach dog leads and water bowls are also provided.
Kinewell Lake
If you’re a dog walker in Northampton looking for a scenic walk with an opportunity for your pup to swim, this is a great choice. Parking is available at Kinewell Pocket park and make sure you stop off at Woodford Lock tea rooms who are rumoured to serve up delicious homemade cakes. Dogs must be kept on a lead between April-June for breeding season.
Harlestone Firs
With a mix of hills, flat trails and forestry, this walk can be tailored to how energetic you and your pup are feeling. If you’re looking to walk a dog in Northampton somewhere that you might find some pals for your pup then Harlestone Firs is the walk for you, as there’s always lots of other dogs poodling about.
Daventry Country Park
If your pup likes to swim, pack a towel and head down to Daventry Country Park. The scenery is lovely and dogs are welcome to be off-lead, there is also lots of places to stop for picnics and it’s open 365 days a year! Stop off at the visitor centre after your walk to stock up on souvenirs or snacks.
