A pawsome premiere "Disney's Patrick"

We absowoofly love our community. Our friendly humans and gorgeous dogs are what makes BorrowMyDoggy so pawsome. What better way to show our appreciation than by offering the chance to win wooftastic prizes!

In June we teamed up with Disney's Patrick Movie, which follows Sarah Francis, a young woman whose life is a bit of a mess. Yet, like it or not, her Grandmother has bequeathed her a very spoilt, but loveable, pug – Patrick. We gave our community the chance to win tickets to the screening and some amazing Patrick merchandise.

One of our lucky winners Lauren posted about her night and shared it with our team, so we’d love to share it with you!

“It was a glorious sunny evening in London on Wednesday, the perfect day for a walk in the park with a furry friend or two. After winning the BorrowMyDoggy competition for a pair of tickets to the premiere of new film Patrick, that’s just where I found myself; the gorgeous Belgrave Square in Mayfair, surrounded by the filmmakers, cast, celebs and not forgetting the dogs!

The film is a funny, upbeat British romcom which follows teacher Sarah (who has a strong dislike of dogs) who inherits the feisty pug Patrick from her nan. At first reluctant to keep him, she soon falls for his charms - with some drama along the way!

Pugs were the order of the day as there were about 15 in attendance at the screening, all with their own goody bags of pug-friendly popcorn. I also spotted a Corgi, who took advantage of the photo ops around the park. Gok Wan (a self-confessed Pug fan) introduced the screening, bringing on the director and the cast who had all turned up to watch the film. It was an impressive list of British talent; from Jennifer Saunders, Cherie Lunghi, Tom Bennett and newcomer Beattie Edmondson, who plays the lead in the film, Sarah, not to mention the appearance of ‘Patrick’ himself… played by Harley (who wore a bow tie- of course!)

It was a treat to be in attendance of such talent and to enjoy an outdoor screening on a beautiful Summer day. Many thanks to BorrowMyDoggy for the tickets, I’ll never forget the experience!”
