How to dog share safely during COVID-19
Although BorrowMyDoggy is operating as normal, we understand there may be members who have concerns about keeping safe during this time. To try and address a few of these we’ve created this helpful guide to show you how to reduce the risks of catching COVID-19.
Of course please, above all else, ensure you follow your local government guidelines! You can view them here:

Meeting another member? Please ensure you meet outside and social distance, this means keeping 2 metres between you at all times, even when handing over a dog.
Wash your dog’s lead & collar as frequently as possible. If you’re a borrower, consider using your own lead.
There is little evidence showing dogs can transmit the virus on their fur... But wash your hands before & after meeting a dog or borrower.
Limit contact with other people by getting to know them over the phone first.
Please abide by your local parks dog walking rules. Borrowers must keep dogs on their leads until give written permission from an owner.
“If you take me for a trip in the car, make sure I’m safely restrained - it’s the law!”
If you’re self-isolating or shielding let other members know of your situation so they can make an informed decision and take appropriate precautions.
You can view all of our updated FAQs here, and If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact us.
Stay safe and continue being kind to one another.
